We have included links to services and support groups below \u2013 we will endeavour to update this list as we identify additional resources.&nbsp;<strong><em>Please remember, your mental health should always come first<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#00bf6f\">Resources in Sudan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tamona<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100091997262283\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100091997262283\" target=\"_blank\">Tamnona<\/a><\/strong> is a voluntary initiative aimed at contributing to reducing the psychological effects in the current situation in Sudan. They provide mental health support materials on their page on Facebook. They also provide phone consultation sessions delivered by mental health doctors. You can find the phone numbers of available doctors for consultation <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100091997262283\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>. They can also be reached by phone: +249 90 922 5265.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ahfad Trauma Centre<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AhfadTraumaCenter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ahfad Trauma Center<\/a> <\/strong>is a specialised unit in mental health and psychosocial support services, this unit is affiliated with the School of Psychology at Ahfad University for Girls, Omdurman, Sudan. Ahfad&#8217;s goals include supporting individuals and communities suffering from trauma and disasters. The centre strives to rebuild the lives of local communities, providing psychosocial support and health care to enable them to live together safely and hopefully. The center provides specialised psychological counseling and other services free of charge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can watch videos about different mental health issues related to the current crises in Sudan <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AhfadTraumaCenter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>. They can also be reached through this phone number: +249 12 151 0709.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Platform<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MHPSSP\" target=\"_blank\">Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Platform<\/a><\/strong> is an initiative that was first created to help communities cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. They now provide mental health information and guidance mainly through their Facebook page for those affected by the war in Sudan.  You can find information service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MHPSSP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mental Health Department Initiative (Atbara Hospital for Psychosocial Support and Treatment<\/strong>)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In coordination with Atbara Emergency Room we examine, diagnose and care for psychological cases that have arisen with current events free of charge, and we also provide collective enlightenment and psychological first aid to all those coming from the current areas of distress .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Operating times<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Psychological and awareness sessions:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every Tuesday (9:00 &#8211; 11:00)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiple locations: <strong>16 May<\/strong> (from the corner of Al-Halfawiyin, Ambkol neighborhood near Al-Ahly Club, south of Sobhi Prost cafeteria) and <strong>23 May<\/strong> (Abu Al-Azaem Complex, south of Doctors Street).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More days to follow&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Psychiatric medical treatment:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every Wednesday (9:00 &#8211; 11:00)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Location: Department of Mental Health, Atbara Hospital<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Existing patients receiving repeat medications, or whose care has been interrupted should attend the main referral clinic on Mondays and Thursdays of each week (8:00 &#8211; 12:00) in the Mental Health Department at Atbara Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#00bf6f\">Resources in Egypt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Volunteer Hub Organization (the Qadirin Initiative)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We announce the beginning of psychological support programs in Cairo, provided by the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/We announce the beginning of psychological support programs in Cairo, provided by the Qadirin Initiative, a subsidiary of the Volunteer Hub organization, for all Sudanese affected by the war and difficult events witnessed by the country... UNFPA is rapidly responding to the Sudanese crisis, with strong interest and interventions to reach out to more Sudanese women and girls, and third country nationals who have just arrived in Egypt. UNFPA operates 10 Safe Spaces in Egypt, throughout five different governorates including: Aswan, Giza, Qalyubia, Sharkia, and Damietta. These safe spaces provide women and girls with psychosocial support, emergency housing support, legal counseling, medical referrals, as well as reproductive health support. You can access more information <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/UnfpaEgypt\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nmhp.mohp.gov.eg\/mental\/web\/ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">General Secretariat<\/a><\/strong> supervises the follow-up of the various treatment plans in its affiliated hospitals, as well as supervising their development plans, and adding other hospitals and centers in new governorates. Services are available to Sudanese arrivals who need psychological support. You can contact them on their hotline 16328. You can also access the Secretariat&#8217;s National Electronic Mental Health Platform <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nmhp.mohp.gov.eg\/mental\/web\/ar?fbclid=IwAR1gVnAiYBVwz-aETQCOZhr1dTXCLBEXpQL-CPlpxI60gSnTkkKh_Wjg7-c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#00bf6f\">Resources in Uganda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hope for Psychosocial Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Amal for Psychosocial Support Company and Development Hub will hold a series of psychological support sessions for survivors of war in Kampala.
